magicka Templar
This is a flexible Magicka Templar DPS PVE Build that relies on strong AOE-DOT and Direct damage skills. The build is utilizing skills that can DPS, heal and replenish Magicka, making it a great option for every PVE content.
The build combines Magic Damage and Fire Damage based skills to provide the best result and allow you to breeze through almost every PVE content!

Build Setup
The Build offers different setups, depending on the difficulty of the content you wish to complete but also the gear you wish to wear! Below you can find setups for Trials Group DPS, a No Trial Gear Setup and a Beginner Setup(c160).
Trials Build :
This setup is for dedicated group gameplay, is using Trial gear and it aims to achieve the best damage possible. You can also wear (Perfected) BahSei's Mania or (Perfected) Mantle of Soria instead of (Perfected) Whorl of the Depths. Kinra's Wrath is a nice alternative for Pillar of Nirn. Deadly Strike is also a nice alternative set for Templar.

No Trial Gear

- Elemental Weapon(Imbue Weapon)/Puncturing Sweep(Puncturing Strikes): Spammable. Use Puncturing Sweep for Solo gameplay and Elemental Weapon when in a group.
- Purifying Light(Backlash): Strong DPS skill that also heals.
- Radiant Oppression(Radiant Destruction): Our Execute ability. Start using it once the enemy’s health drops below 25%.
- Barbed Trap(Trap Beast): Additional DOT damage but we are mainly using it for the boost to our Critical Damage.
- Blazing Spear(Spear Shards): AOE damage skill.
- Flawless Dawnbreaker(Dawnbreaker): It buffs our damage and deals great direct and DOT damage.
- Mystic Orb(Necrotic Orb): Strong AOE damage skill.
- Unstable Wall of Elements(Wall of Elements): Great Fire AOE damage skill.
- Ritual of Retribution(Cleansing Ritual): Strong AOE skill that is constantly damaging enemies.
- Harness Magicka(Annulment): Shield ability for extra protection.
- Spell Symmetry(Equilibrium): Use it when low on Magicka to restore it.
- Crescent Sweep(Radial Sweep): Main Ultimate.

What Race is Best for Magicka Templar PVE Build
High Elf – Dark Elf – Khajiit – Breton is the best Race for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!
Vampire or Werewolf
Neither is necessary.
Rotation for Magicka Templar PVE Build
This is a more dynamic rotation where you attack with your spammable and re cast the other damage abilities when necessary!
Drink a potion, set Barbed Trap, attack with Mystic Orb, Unstable Wall of Elements, Ritual of Retribution, switch bars. Continue with Blazing Spear, Purifying Light, Elemental Weapon/Puncturing Sweep x5-6, Barbed Trap, switch bars. Keep attacking with Elemental Weapon/Puncturing Sweep and re cast the other skills when necessary.
