Jewelry Crafting is a skill line that was released along with the Summerset chapter in June 2018. It for the first time allows you to craft and improve Jewelry, including the ability to make jewelry items in all Craftable Sets. It works in a similar fashion to the Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking lines, with researchable traits and associated trait items, harvestable leveled materials, and crafting sites added in all regular crafting areas.

In addition to rings and necklaces, the Jewelry Crafting skill allows you to craft furnishings for your home.

Learning

The Jewelry Crafting skill line is granted the first time you activate a jewelry station (assuming you have access to the Summerset chapter). You can increase your skill by crafting or deconstructing jewelry, and by completing Jewelry Crafting Writs. In addition, you can earn free levels in the skill line by reading Skill Books, which may be found randomly on bookshelves anywhere. The skill books which increase Jewelry Crafting are:

  • Jewels of Yokuda
  • The Pretension of High Elf Jewelry

Skill Perks

Jewelry Crafting has an associated skill line that is revealed through use of the Jewelry Crafting profession. Known abilities are listed below. Notes

  • The numbers displayed here are the base values for the skills. Magicka/Stamina Cost is based on a character of Level 50 160. Damage values are based on Max Magicka/Stamina 12000, Max Health 16000, and Weapon/Spell Damage 1000. The actual numbers you see in the game may depend on a variety of factors, including skill line rank, your equipped weapons and armor, other skills, enchantments, etc. As such, they should only be used as a comparative reference.

Passive Abilities

Passive abilities are active all the time, and affect the outcome of Jewelry Crafting related activities.

Skill points

The table below shows the amount of skill points required in order to max out the Jewellery skill line.

Materials

There are five levels of basic materials needed for jewelry crafting. These materials can be found at Jewelry Seam nodes everywhere. These are most commonly found near mountains and large rocks, which can be harvested for Dust. 10 Dust can be refined into 7-10 Ounces, which may then be used to craft Necklaces and Rings. Additionally, you may find Ochre, which is used to make furnishing items.

Traits

Just like the other equipment crafting skills, there will be nine traits which can be researched and crafted. Three of these will be those that currently exist, and there will be six new traits. Unlike the other skills, however, the materials for these traits are mostly found in pulverized form, and must be refined to produce usable materials. Just like refinable style materials, 10 pulverized trait materials can be refined into 1 usable item.

Finding jewelry with the newer traits to research is not as simple as with other gear. Just as before, you will normally only find items with the original three traits: Robust, Arcane, and Healthy, as well as non-craftable Ornate. In addition, jewelry crafting writs will now sometimes give you Intricate jewelry, just like the other gear crafting writs. For the others, you will need to do a bit more work, or get other players to craft items for you to research. The chart below shows how to acquire the rarer traits:

Platings

Jewelry items can now also be upgraded in quality, similar to other equipment. This is done using Platings. Unlike other upgrading materials, Platings are mostly found as Grains, 10 of which must be refined in order to produce 1 Plating. Just like other equipment upgrading, you will need to use multiple Platings to ensure that you do not destroy the item in the process. The Platings Expertise skill will allow you to safely upgrade items with fewer Platings.
